very beginning.
01. ANALYZE By S-W-O-T technique:
Analysis about strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to your organization. Before
we start work on your web site, we have to get to know you. We need to know who
you are, what your business does and what your goals are for your web site. We determine
how you want your site to look. For example do you have specific colors that you
would like associated with your business? Do you have a logo you would like to appear
on the page or the header? What sort of information do you need your site to convey?
Are you going to sell things on your site or will it be an informative site only?
Do you want your site to be flashy and animation-rich, or do you want a cleaner,
more austere site? Have you seen some of the web sites of your competitors? Are
there any you wish to emulate or avoid emulating? When we feel comfortable that
we know what you want and you feel comfortable that we know what you want, we can
begin working on the specifics of your Internet marketing solution.
The Creative Brief:
The creative brief should take into account the above sections (project analysis,
target audience analysis, goals and objectives) and then describes visually and
sensorially how the interface design will address these issues.
- The mood of the site; the look-and-feel (e.g. does the site convey
authority, playfulness, service? Is it conservative or provocative?)
- What colors the site will use, why these colors, how will they
be used?
- What fonts will be used?
- How will the navigation system work? How will the navigation
system and the interface design be integrated?
- Will there be any special features like rollover graphics,
pop-up windows, multimedia, etc.
02. PLANNING: A strategic plan is
created from our analysis. One of the most important aspects of information design
is the planning process. Unfortunately, the planning process is one of the first
items to get cut when schedules are tight. Projects that have skipped this step
often suffer from problems that are difficult to fix once the site has been developed.
For example, sites that have not been planned in advance often contain information
that was added randomly and inconsistently, related topics don't link to one another,
and readers have a frustrating experience navigating the site. Even simple websites
will benefit from a project plan. Whether a large team is working on the site or
whether one person is doing all the work, a project plan will keep key objectives
at the forefront and ensure that the site is organized and well-designed.
- Code development strategy
- Developing a Web content plan:
- A taxonomy of the organization's services and organizational components
- A mapping of meta data required to support organizing and classifying the content
on the site.
- An information architecture / sitemap. This document provides a diagram or “map”
of all of the content to go on the site
- Time estimation:
- Technology barriers
- Best of the lot alternatives
- Target Audience Analysis:
- Who is your primary target audience? What about secondary audiences?
- How will they be accessing the site? Can you make assumptions about an average user's
connection speed? Platform? Browser use?
- How often do you expect them to visit your site? How long will they stay on an average
visit?
- What functions will the target audience perform while at the site?
03. DEVELOPMENT & INTEGRATION Our
developers have strong experience in delivering fast and robust applications from
small internal sites to complex heterogeneous platforms. To guarantee maximum integration
and efficiency, we fully analyze your business structure, as well as your current
needs and future expansion plans.
- Approval of Web page Designs:
After our designers have finalized the designs, it is sent across to you for approval.
Once the homepage is approved, our team takes over starts work on the sub-pages.
If a client does not approve the initial designs; our creative designers go back
to the drawing board to redesign the homepage.
- Static Content Gathering from the Client:
Once the Homepage and Sub-page designs are frozen, we ask the Client to give us
the static content for the website. Static content usually includes About Us, Products/Services,
Our Team, and Contact Us etc.
- Static page creation:
Once the Client has given the content for the static pages, our designers merge
the content and the visuals with the static web pages for the website.
- Client Feedback / Suggestions
- After the static content on the website is merged with the visuals / creative layout
of the web page, the pages are sent for Client feedback. Once the homepage and the
sub-pages with content are approved, our Technology/Development Team takes over
for developing the applications (if any) on the website.
- Application Development & Integration:
This particular stage involves our Technology Team which develops the required application
for the website. Applications range from Shopping Carts to Currency Converters,
from Administrator Control Panels to Easy-to-Use Content Management Systems depending
on user needs. Once the required application is developed, it is integrated onto
the website for prototype testing.
