Platform, Tools and Technologies:

ASP.NET 2.0 with AJAX, Webservice, SQL SERVER 2005 as backend database, XHTML and extensive use of Javascript (jQuery, mootols).

Technical situation

A Web 2.0 solution which allows property owners or realestate brokers to demonstrate their properties to the world. The concept is unique compared to other general real estate sites available on internet.

A listing can demand different inormation based on its type. the types are divided into 8 major parts. These are basically differentiated to meet requirement of different types of users of the site. For example, a person can be a owner of a property, which he wants to sell. But at the same time, he can seek an aprtment for his friend.

The objectve of this application is to meet every single requirement that a property owner or realestate broker might demand. To do the above action, the same user can put up a demostration for his home, and may put up an advertisement for his friend. These actions can be done from different module, which are self-descriptive and independent.

Solution

Extensive use of ASP.NET and ASP.NET AJAX control toolkit. In addition, extreme jQuery based javascript-ing has been used to take it to the higher level. Back-end: Sql Server 2005, Entity - relational model using Object Oriented .Net classes. Use of Google map, Geo-coding, Embedded video and client-side validation made this No 1.
